We are a Local company. It makes good sense to keep money in the local economy.
Do business with a local small business, rather than a nationwide conglomerate.
We are well established.
We were actually the first ISP to provide High Speed Internet in Allegan County, MI, (as Datawise), soon to be followed by AT&T's DSL service).
We saw the need in 2000 and our first Access Point was up and running by the beginning of 2001.
You don't have to pay for a phone line. If you want High Speed Internet, why should you have to pay for a phone line you don't want or need in order to get it?
You don't have to pay for cable TV. If you want High Speed Internet, why should you have to pay for cable TV you don't want or need?
We have no contracts for residential users - We don't like tying customers in to a service which they are not happy with.
This leads to bad feedback, and a poor reputation.
We like to only have happy customers if at all possible.
We have download limits on our residential plans - How is this a positive thing?
Well we think it is better than pretending that we are selling unlimited,
and then disconnecting the top few users,
as many other High Speed Internet providers do.
We like to be up-front about what we are selling.
We are not selling dedicated bandwidth to be consumed at the 100% level, 24/7.
If this is what you need, then try getting some quotes for a T1 line or ds-3 from the telephone company.
See what their true unlimited bandwidth really costs.
Our limits are plenty more for anything other than heave streaming video usage, and they ensure fair access to the network for all customers.
We don't advertise. Well, not much. We have a yellow pages advertisement, and we mail out flyers or postcards near the new towers we put up.
But mainly we grow by word of mouth. This allows us to invest more money back into the network, to improve our services.
It also speaks volumes about our reputation, that almost all of our sales are by word of mouth.
We are exempt from Sales Tax. That's right! There will be no sales taxes on your invoice. The price you see listed on our website is the price you will pay.
The only exception to this is when a township requires us to pay property taxes on customer equipment within the township.
That tax will be passed on to the clients in the particular township.
We encourage you to take this up with your township board.
